Statesville Regional Airport serves Statesville and Iredell County and is owned by the City of Statesville. The runway (10-28) is 7005 feet long. The facility is at an elevation of 965 feet 3 miles west of Statesville. We have an ILS with a MALSR that gives us 1/2 mile minimums. The ILS approach for R/W 28 is authorized with 200 foot DH and HIRL. The UNICOM is 123.075 and the AWOS is 119.22.
Statesville Flying Service is located on the North side of 10/28 just east of midfield. Our customer service personnel can arrange local transportation, hotel rooms and catering. Rental cars are available on site. We are located 19 miles from the Lowes Inc office campus and 15 miles from the Lowes distribution center on I-77 just north of Statesville.
Statesville Flying Service is a 7-time winner of Exxon-Mobil's Premier Spirit Award. We are here to make your travel day convenient and simple. Our goal is to say "yes." We have hangar space for transient aircraft, de-icing equipment, lavatory service, oxygen service, nitrogen and aircraft washing and detailing. Through our tenant, Iredell Air Care, we can provide maintenance on airframe, component and engine. Our service is available 6am to 9pm Monday thru Friday and 8am to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday. Before or after hours service is available with a simple phone call. There is no ramp or landing fee and there is, generally, no charge for after-hours service if fuel is purchased. While you're at the Airport, you can make use of our office space and wireless internet access to get a little work done. Coming and going IFR is made easier with direct radio contact with Atlanta Center. Talk to the controller, get a clearance and you're on your way. We are outside the Charlotte TCA.
We have completed development of 54,000sf of hangar space and 6,000sf of attached office space. We are looking for tenants to occupy this brand new, first class, heated hangar space.
